Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and support patient experience at a Columbia County Medical Center Hospital facility. You will perform CT exams, ensure diagnostic image quality, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team.

The role requires an accredited radiologic technology program, ARRT-R, ARRT-CT, and BLS certifications, with a schedule that supports patient care needs.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification required.
• ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography) certification required.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment independently while maintaining ALARA dose principles.
• Disinfect and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and identify patients before exams.
• Explain procedures and prep to patients to reduce anxiety and ensure comfort.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
