Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and support a positive patient experience at the Columbia County Medical Center Hospital. Technologists are valued clinical professionals contributing to a collaborative care team.

The role requires an accredited Radiologic Technology program completion, ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certifications, and BLS. Expect full-time shifts with comprehensive benefits and ongoing education opportunities.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• AR R T – Radiography certification required (ARRT-R).
• ARRT-CT certification required (ARRT-CT).
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and maintain diagnostic image quality and patient safety.
• Operate imaging equipment independently, applying ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure.
• Disinfect and prepare rooms and equipment, report equipment issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and identify patients before exams.
• Explain procedures using AIDET and address patient questions to reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout visits.

Education

ARRT-R (Radiography)

ARRT-CT – ARRT Computed Tomography

BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association
