Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• 1 year of radiology experience required
• ARRT-R certification required
• ARRT-CT certification required
• BLS certification required

Aufgaben

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment independently while maintaining ALARA principles.
• Clean, disinfect and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history, screen for contraindications, verify orders and patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures and prep using AIDET; address patient questions and reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy and safety; provide age-appropriate care.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol with proper venipuncture/sterile technique.
• Position patients correctly, apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic quality; repeat or correct as needed and release patients.
• Document accurately and finalize studies in RIS/PACS; manage transfers/retrieval as needed.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and assist with life-support equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflows to meet timeframes; collaborate with technologists to support department flow.
• Support operations and compliance; keep areas orderly and stocked; handle charging/clerical tasks and escalate issues.
