Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT scanning and related radiology duties in a fast-paced hospital setting. You will verify orders with radiologists, prepare patients, and assist during procedures while maintaining patient safety and documentation.

The role requires ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB with CT registry within one year, plus BLS. On-call, holiday and weekend rotations are included as part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• BLS certification required."
• Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development across patient populations.
• Proficient in safe operation of radiology equipment and contrast administration policies.

Responsibilities

• Examines requests and verifies orders with radiologist before exams.
• Prepare patients and explain procedures clearly; identify patient using two identifiers.
• Perform CT scans and assist Radiologist/PA during procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and manage contrast administration per protocol.
• Document procedures, patient history, and MAR entries; monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies.
