Job summary

The VIOS Clinic is seeking a CT Technologist to support multiple imaging services within a diagnostic float team. You will perform CT exams per orders, verify patient identity, obtain history, and explain procedures with AIDET to patients and families.

Responsibilities include positioning, IV access, contrast administration, operating CT scanners, maintaining ALARA, documenting in RIS/PACS, and supporting on-call duties. ARRT-CT and BLS are required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Minimum of 2 years hospital-based radiologic technologist experience, including CT.
  • Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography), and BLS from the American Heart Association.

  • Perform CT exams according to physician orders, protocols, and safety standards.
  • Verify patient identity, gather relevant history, and screen for contraindications.
  • Explain procedures using AIDET for clear communication with patients and families.
  • Prepare, position, and assist patients with mobility and transfers using immobilization/shielding.
  • Establish IV access, administer contrast media safely, and monitor for adverse reactions.
  • Operate CT scanners and injectors, confirming scan parameters and anatomical markers.
  • Optimize imaging techniques to maximize diagnostic quality while minimizing radiation (ALARA).
  • Evaluate image quality, recognize urgent findings, and collaborate with radiologists.
  • Complete documentation, manage RIS, PACS, logs, and perform QC checks.
  • Support daily operations, maintain equipment and supplies, participate in on-call duties, and adhere to standards.
