Job summary

Rock Health is seeking a CT Technologist to support multiple imaging facilities within a regional float team, delivering high-quality, safe imaging services while ensuring a positive patient experience.

The role requires performing CT exams, validating patient information, and using AIDET to communicate with patients and families. You will operate CT scanners, manage contrast administration, and participate in quality control and RIS/PACS duties.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • At least 2 years of hospital-based Radiologic Technologist and CT experience.
  • Certifications: ARRT-R, ARRT-CT, and BLS from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT exams following physician orders, protocols, and safety standards.
  • Verify patient identity, gather history, and screen for contraindications, including contrast risks.
  • Explain procedures empathetically using AIDET, and communicate effectively with patients and families.
  • Prepare and position patients, assist with transfers, and ensure safety during procedures.
  • Establish IV access, administer contrast media, and monitor for adverse reactions.
  • Operate CT scanners and injectors, ensuring optimal imaging while minimizing radiation exposure.
  • Evaluate image quality, recognize urgent findings, and collaborate with radiologists or physicians.
  • Complete accurate documentation, manage RIS, PACS, and related tasks.
  • Perform quality control checks, maintain equipment, and adhere to regulatory standards.
