Job summary

Atrium Health Mercy, a facility of Carolinas Medical Center, is seeking a CT Technologist I to operate CT scanners and related equipment with high proficiency. The role includes rotating 4x10 hour shifts, weekend call, and holidays, with responsibilities spanning patient prep, imaging, and collaboration with Radiology staff.

Requirements include ARRT radiologic (or NMTCB) certification with BLS, and eligibility to obtain CT certification within one year of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• ARRT (Radiology) or NMTCB certification required within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT scanners and related equipment per protocols.
• Identify patients and explain procedures; prepare patient and documents details.
• Review EMR for clinical history and correlate results with radiologist input.
• Administer IV contrast according to protocols; record contrast usage.
• Ensure radiation safety for staff and patients; report equipment issues.
• Rotate shifts including weekends and holidays; adhere to attendance policy.
