Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and patient care in a fast-paced environment. You will work within a collaborative radiology team to perform CT procedures and ensure patient safety and comfort.

The role requires ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certification, a radiologic technology program, BLS, and at least 1 year of radiology experience. Relocation assistance and sign-on bonus eligibility are offered for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Certification: ARRT-R (Radiography).
• Certification: ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography).
• BLS certification (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and maintain ALARA principles.
• Maintain infection control, clean rooms/equipment, and report issues promptly.
• Verify orders, obtain clinical history, and use two identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures and prep to patients; address questions and reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety during visits; provide age-appropriate care.
• Assist with contrast administration using proper venipuncture and sterile technique.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and complete final reports in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and support department operations.
