Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to join our imaging team. You will perform CT procedures, ensure patient safety, and deliver high-quality imaging with patient-focused care.

The role requires ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certifications, a radiologic technology program, and at least 1 year of radiology experience. The position is a full-time day shift with benefits and relocation assistance possible.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.
• Minimum 1 year radiology experience is required.
• ARRT-R certification in Radiography is required.
• ARRT-CT certification in Computed Tomography is required.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines, and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and adjust techniques to maintain diagnostic quality while minimizing dose (ALARA).
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules; report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history and verify orders and two patient identifiers before any exam.
• Explain procedures using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety during visits.
• Administer contrast per protocol, using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients correctly; apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat/correct as needed and release patients appropriately.
• Complete accurate documentation and finalize studies in RIS/PACS; handle transfers/retrievals as needed.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; restock crash cart and life-support equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflows to meet timeframes; collaborate with technologists to support department flow.
• Support operations and compliance; keep areas orderly and follow regulatory requirements.
