Qualifications

• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT (R) Upon Hire, Required
• Certified Computed Tomography Technologist ARRT (R)(CT), Preferred
• BLS Within 60 days, Required
• Licensure in state of practice as applicable, Upon Hire, Required
• IV Competency within 90 Days, Required
• For Colorado, Fluoroscopy certification preferred
• 1-2 years CT experience in hospital setting, Preferred
• Current ARRT (R) CT registration, Required
• Current BLS certification endorsed by AHA or obtain within 90 days
• Minimum of 3 years experience as CT Technologist
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and radiation safety

Responsibilities

• Maintain ARRT competency in all clinical and technical functions of the job
• Operate CT equipment and related information systems to ensure quality images
• Ensure proper patient identification, order verification, and patient prep
• Perform exams per department protocol
• Review and evaluate images for quality and accuracy
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe working environment
• Complete studies within time limitations without compromising care
• Provide patient education, ensure comfort, and address concerns
• Coordinate patient care and communicate with other providers
• Stay updated with CT advancements and participate in continuing education
• Assist and instruct students and other radiology staff
