Job summary

Ochsner Health in New Orleans seeks a licensed CT Technologist to perform routine and contrast-enhanced CT procedures with attention to safety and quality. You will mentor junior staff and students while ensuring patient comfort and diagnostic accuracy.

The role requires ARRT CT certification or CT registry eligible, a current BLS, and a state radiologic license, with flexibility for shift variations and occasional travel between facilities.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
• CT experience preferred.
• ARRT CT certification and/or CT registry eligible with 90 days of employment and temporary state license.
• CT registry eligible within one year.
• Advanced CT certification within one year of becoming CT registry eligible.
• Current unrestricted license in state of practice.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Advanced CT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verifies physician order and procedure to assure accuracy.
• Uses radiology information systems to facilitate care.
• Explains procedure to patient to ensure understanding.
• Independently operates imaging equipment per protocol (including IV placement).
• Reviews patient images for diagnostic quality.
• Performs timely quality control procedures per regulatory standards.
• Assists in departmental operations (inventory, staff schedules, equipment maintenance).
• Adapts procedures to patient population and privacy considerations.
• Performs other related duties as required.
