Responsibilities

• Perform CT and molecular imaging procedures, and assist licensed practitioners with interventional procedures.

Job description

Role Overview: The CT Technologist I is responsible for performing computed tomography and molecular imaging procedures, administering ionizing radiation for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes, and assisting licensed practitioners with interventional procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain correct patient identification, ensure proper preparation, and document clinical history while maintaining confidentiality.
• Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles to ensure patient safety.
• Prepare and administer medications via vascular access as prescribed, and evaluate image quality and positioning.
• Assist in and perform CT procedures, monitor and educate students and healthcare providers, and verify data transfer and storage.

Qualifications & Skills

• Certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB) upon hire; new graduates must obtain certification before starting.
• Graduate of a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology; a related Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Ability to follow federal, state, and institutional policies regarding radiation and medication administration.
