Responsibilities

• Obtain correct orders, identify patients, and ensure proper exam preparation while maintaining confidentiality.
• Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure.
• Prepare and/or administer medications via vascular access as prescribed.
• Evaluate image quality, verify data transfer, and perform post-processing as needed.
• Assist with interventional procedures and support clinical staff.

Role Overview: The CT Tech I performs computed tomography and molecular imaging procedures, administering ionizing radiation for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes. They prepare, assist, and evaluate imaging data, ensuring patient safety and compliance with regulations. This role includes assisting licensed practitioners with interventional procedures, monitoring patient preparation, and educating healthcare providers and students.
