Qualifications

• ARRT or NMTCB certification with ARRT-CT.
• Graduate from a radiologic technology training program.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure correct patient identification, proper preparation, and accurate documentation while maintaining confidentiality.
• Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles to ensure patient safety.
• Prepare and administer medications via vascular access as prescribed.
• Evaluate images for quality, proper positioning, and verify data storage or transfer.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers.
• Assist with interventional procedures and perform CT scans as directed.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and demonstrate commitment to organizational priorities.

Role Overview:

CT Technologists administer ionizing radiation for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes, performing computed tomography and molecular imaging procedures. They acquire and analyze data for diagnosis and assist licensed practitioners with interventional and therapeutic procedures.
