Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience at Cobb Hospital. You will work within a collaborative care team of technologists and clinicians, ensuring safety and comfort for every patient.

The role emphasizes ALARA principles, accurate documentation, and proactive collaboration to maintain department workflow and patient care standards across day shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R, ARRT-CT, and BLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and maintain ALARA principles.
• Maintain room/equipment cleanliness and report issues promptly.
• Verify patient identity, orders, and clinical history prior to exams.
• Explain procedures using AIDET and address patient questions.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy and safety throughout visits.
• Administer contrast per protocol and use sterile techniques when applicable.
• Position patients, apply markers and shielding.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and complete final documentation in RIS/PACS.
