Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist for a full-time day shift to deliver high‑quality imaging and a supportive patient experience. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and compassionate care within a collaborative radiology team.

Technologists will perform CT exams, optimize protocols, and ensure timely documentation in RIS/PACS while maintaining ALARA principles and patient comfort throughout the visit.

Qualifications

• Education: HS Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Minimum 1 year Radiology experience required
• ARRT-R certification for Radiography
• ARRT-CT certification for Computed Tomography
• BLS certification by American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures per department guidelines and optimize image quality
• Operate imaging equipment safely and maintain ALARA dose
• Clean and disinfect rooms and equipment; report issues promptly
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders and patient identifiers
• Explain procedures and address patient questions to reduce anxiety
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit
• Administer contrast and perform venipuncture as needed
• Position patients and apply markers and shielding correctly
• Review images for diagnostic quality and re-scan if needed
• Document procedures accurately in RIS/PACS and manage studies
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; restock life-support equipment
• Coordinate daily workflows with technologists to meet timelines
• Assist operations and maintain orderly, compliant work areas

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program

Experience: 1 year in Radiology

ARRT-R (Radiography)

ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography)

BLS (AHA)
