Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Georgia seeks a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience. You'll work with a collaborative care team and apply ALARA principles to minimize dose while obtaining diagnostic images.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification.
• ARRT-CT certification.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and maintain lowest reasonable dose (ALARA).
• Maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules and report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history and verify orders with two identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures and prep using AIDET; ease patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout visits.
• Perform exams and manage contrast administration per protocol.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as needed.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and recapture if needed.
• Document accurately in RIS/PACS and manage transfers/retrievals.
