Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high-quality CT imaging and provide a compassionate patient experience at Cobb Hospital. Technologists are valued clinical professionals within a collaborative care team.

The role requires completion of a Radiologic Technology program, ARRT credentials, and at least 1 year radiology experience. This full-time position features a day shift and relocation assistance options for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology Required.
• Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography), BLS (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and maintain ALARA principles.
• Maintain infection control, clean and restock rooms/equipment.
• Obtain clinical history and verify orders and patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures and address patient questions using AIDET; reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit.
• Administer contrast per protocol with venipuncture and sterile technique.
• Position patients and apply markers and shielding as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and repeat if needed.
• Document and finalize studies in RIS/PACS; manage transfers/retrievals as required.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; support life-safety equipment as needed.
• Organize workflows to meet timeframes and support department operations and compliance.
