Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience at Cobb Hospital in Georgia.

Perform CT procedures per department guidelines, ensure patient comfort and safety, and explain procedures using AIDET. Maintain equipment, document studies in RIS/PACS, and collaborate with the care team to support department operations.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification.
• ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography) certification.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines to capture quality diagnostic images.
• Work independently operating imaging equipment safely and managing dose with ALARA.
• Maintain rooms and equipment per infection control schedules and report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and identify patients before exams.
• Explain procedures using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout visits.
• Perform exams and administer contrast with proper venipuncture and sterile technique.
• Position patients, apply markers/shielding, and ensure correct imaging.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and rework as needed; finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and assist with crash carts.
• Organize daily workflows and coordinate with teams to support department operations.
• Follow regulatory requirements and escalate issues to supervisor.
