Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience at Cobb Hospital.

You will perform CT procedures per guidelines, maintain ALARA standards, and collaborate with technologists to ensure timely, accurate exams and patient comfort.

This full-time day shift offers a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for eligible candidates; ARRT certification and BLS required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R certification.
• ARRT-CT certification.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and maintain ALARA dose.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules; report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history and screen for contraindications; verify orders and two patient identifiers before any exam.
• Explain procedures, prep, and post-care using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol; use venipuncture and sterile technique.
• Position patients correctly; apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat/correct as needed and release patients appropriately.
• Complete accurate documentation and finalize studies in RIS/PACS; manage transfers/retrieval as needed.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and assist with crash cart readiness.
• Organize daily workflows to meet timeframes; collaborate to support department flow.
• Support operations, keep areas stocked, and follow regulatory requirements; escalate issues.
