Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a positive patient experience. You will work within a collaborative care team, applying expertise to perform CT procedures and ensure diagnostic image quality.

The role requires ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certifications, at least 1 year in Radiology, and a High School Diploma or equivalent. Relocation assistance and a sign-on bonus are available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.Required
• Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography)
• Certifications: ARRT-CT - ARRT Computed Tomography
• Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) - American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines, capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and maintain diagnostic quality with ALARA.
• Maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules; report issues promptly.
• Verify orders and two patient identifiers before any exam.
• Explain procedures and prep using AIDET; address questions and reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit.
• Administer contrast per protocol; venipuncture and sterile technique.
• Position patients; apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat/correct as needed.
• Document accurately in RIS/PACS; include transfers and prior exams.
• Monitor patient condition; respond to emergencies; restock equipment as needed.
• Organize daily workflows; support department flow with other technologists.
• Support operations and compliance; keep areas orderly; elevate issues to supervisor.
