Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Georgia is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and compassionate patient care. You will work as part of a collaborative radiology team, performing CT procedures and ensuring patient safety with ALARA principles.

The role requires a radiology program credential, ARRT-R/ARRT-CT certifications, and at least 1 year of experience, plus BLS. A sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are available, with comprehensive benefits and career progression.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Experience: minimum 1 year in Radiology.
• Certifications: ARRT-R, ARRT-CT, BLS.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures per department guidelines and capture quality images.
• Operate imaging equipment independently and maintain diagnostic quality with ALARA.
• Clean and disinfect rooms/equipment; report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and identify patients before exams.
• Explain procedures using AIDET; address questions and reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy and safety throughout visits.
• Administer contrast per protocol using sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients, apply markers and shielding as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and re-image if needed.
• Document and finalize studies in RIS/PACS; manage transfers.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, restock equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflow and support department operations.
• Follow regulatory requirements and escalate issues to supervisor.
