Qualifications

• Requires a High School diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification and ARRT-CT certification.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and maintain diagnostic quality with ALARA principles.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms and equipment; report issues promptly.
• Collect clinical history, verify orders, and ensure patient identifiers are correct.
• Explain procedures, prep and post-care using AIDET; alleviate patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit.
• Administer contrast using proper technique and venipuncture when applicable.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and repeat as needed.
• Document accurately and finalize studies in RIS/PACS; manage transfers as required.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; restock and maintain life-support equipment.
• Coordinate daily workflows with technologists to support department efficiency.
• Support regulatory compliance and report issues to supervisor.
