Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Georgia seeks a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high‑quality imaging and a supportive patient experience. You will work within a collaborative radiology team, applying ALARA principles and ensuring patient comfort.

Qualifications

• Education requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year radiology experience; ARRT certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and maintain diagnostic image quality (ALARA).
• Disinfect rooms and maintain equipment per infection control schedules.
• Verify orders and patient identifiers; obtain clinical history.
• Explain procedures and address questions to reduce anxiety.
• Position patients and apply shielding; obtain and document results.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; assist with life-support equipment.
• Support department workflow and ensure clean, stocked areas.
• Complete charging/clerical tasks and adhere to regulatory requirements.
