Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking a CT Technologist to perform computed tomography exams while adhering to infection control and safety protocols. You will educate patients, document results, and operate scanners and related gear to ensure high-quality imaging.

The role requires strong knowledge of CT procedures, radiation safety, and patient care, with fluency in English and experience using EMR/PACS systems. Weekend shifts and a full-time schedule are included.

Qualifications

• Must have High School diploma or equivalent.
• Associate or higher degree preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Practicing infection control standards and using PPE and disinfectants.
• Follow protocols for patient identification, informed consent, and time-out procedures before exams.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR and PACS.
• Educate patients about exams and maintain workflow to minimize idle time.
• Operate imaging equipment safely, including scanners and monitors.
• Perform high-quality CT exams per orders and protocols.
• Review patient history to ensure exam appropriateness and identify contraindications.
• Prepare and administer IV contrast per safety guidelines and monitor for reactions.
