Qualifications include CT procedures knowledge, PACS/EMR proficiency, and strong communication. The role requires English fluency, IV skills, and a commitment to ALARA radiation safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Practicing infection control standards and using PPE.
• Follows department protocols for patient identification and time-out procedures.
• Maintains documentation in EMR and PACS.
• Educates patients about the exam and maintains workflow.
• Operates imaging equipment safely and adapts protocols.
• Performs high-quality CT examinations per orders and protocols.
• Reviews patient history to confirm exam appropriateness.
• Prepares and administers IV contrast and monitors for reactions.
• Positions patients and maintains radiation safety (ALARA).
• Collaborates with radiologists to ensure accurate imaging and care continuity.
