Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital is actively seeking a CT Technologist to provide safe, high‑quality imaging and compassionate patient care on a weekday day shift. Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• 1 year radiology experience required.
• ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certifications required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and adjust techniques to minimize dose (ALARA).
• Maintain rooms and equipment, report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and use two patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures to patients and address questions to ease anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety during visits.
• Administer contrast per protocol using venipuncture and sterile technique.
• Position patients, apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as needed.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and reimage when required.
• Document and finalize studies in RIS/PACS and manage transfers.
