Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Georgia seeks a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and support a positive patient experience. Technologists are essential, collaborative team members who ensure safe procedures and compassionate care along the patient journey.

The role emphasizes accuracy, patient comfort, and adherence to radiology standards within a busy, integrated health system setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year Radiology experience.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) and ARRT-CT certifications.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures per department guidelines and capture diagnostic-quality images.
• Operate imaging equipment independently, maintaining ALARA and patient safety.
• Clean and disinfect rooms and equipment; promptly report issues.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders and patient ID before exams.
• Explain procedures using AIDET; address questions and reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout visits.
• Administer contrast per protocol with proper venipuncture technique.
• Position patients, apply markers and shielding as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and perform repeats if needed.
• Document thoroughly and finalize studies in RIS/PACS; manage transfers as needed.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; restock life-support equipment.
• Organize daily workflows to support department operations and compliance.
