Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high‑quality imaging and support a positive patient experience. You will work with a collaborative care team to ensure accurate exams and efficient workflow.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• Certifications: ARRT-R
• Certifications: ARRT-CT
• Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association)

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and adjust techniques to maintain quality with ALARA.
• Disinfect and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history and verify orders with two patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures and post-care using AIDET; address patient questions.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit.
• Administer contrast per protocol and maintain sterile technique where applicable.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and repeat if needed.
• Document accurately in RIS/PACS and manage transfers/retrievals as required.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; restock equipment as needed.
• Organize daily workflows to meet timeframes and support department operations.
