Wellstar is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience at Columbia County Medical Center Hospital. You will perform CT exams, ensure diagnostic image quality, and support a collaborative care team.

You will work in a full-time role with a schedule that may include evenings and weekends, with a focus on patient comfort, safety, and efficient workflow. Relocation and sign-on incentives may be available, and Wellstar emphasizes staff growth,

Competenze

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certifications; BLS required; 1+ year radiology experience.

Mansioni

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture high-quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment independently while minimizing radiation dose (ALARA).
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms and equipment per infection control schedules.
• Verify orders and use two patient identifiers before any exam; obtain clinical history.
• Explain procedures, prep, and post-care using AIDET; address patient questions to reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care throughout visits.
• Administer contrast per protocol using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and repeat as needed; ensure studies are finalized in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and assist with crash cart readiness.
• Organize daily workflows to meet timeframes; collaborate with team to support department operations.
• Support regulatory compliance, keep areas stocked, and escalate issues to supervisor.
