Job summary

St. David’s Medical Center, part of St. David’s HealthCare, is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT scans and x-rays per ARRT/ACR/TMB standards. You will ensure patient care, verify orders, follow protocols, and administer contrast under radiologist supervision.

The role requires CT experience, radiologic tech education, and current ARRT certifications, with BLS compliance and ongoing commitment to safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• One year experience as a Radiology Technologist in an acute care setting.
• One year experience performing CT procedures - preferred.
• Graduate from an accredited approved program in Radiologic Technology.
• Completion of courses in computed tomography (CT) and cross-sectional anatomy.
• Current Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) certification with Texas Medical Board (TMB).
• Certified in Radiology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Certified in CT by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT CT) within 6 months of CT assignment.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per St. David’s Healthcare policy.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge of human anatomy, disease processes and functions, patient care, positioning, radiographic principles, radiation protection and specialized techniques.
• Verify written orders match requisition prior to performing exam.
• Follow appropriate protocol for the exam ordered.
• Administer contrast material using proper technique.
• Enter appropriate charges and reviews for accuracy.
• Correlate patient’s clinical history with procedure; ensure information is documented and available for radiologist.
• Manage patient flow to prioritize and perform exams efficiently.
