Job summary

Wellstar North Fulton Hospital in Roswell, Georgia seeks a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience. You will perform CT procedures, follow ALARA principles, and collaborate with the radiology team to ensure diagnostic excellence.

Required qualifications include a high school diploma, completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certifications plus BLS, and at least 1 year of radiology experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) and ARRT-CT certifications; BLS.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines, using technical knowledge to capture quality diagnostic images.
• Work independently operating imaging/radiographic equipment safely and maintain diagnostic quality at the ALARA dose.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules; report equipment issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history and screen for contraindications; verify orders and two unique patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures, prep, and post-care using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care throughout the visit.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol, using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients correctly and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat/correct as needed and release patients appropriately.
• Complete documentation and ensure studies are finalized in RIS/PACS; manage transfers/retrieval as needed.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and assist with crash cart and life-support equipment.
