Job summary

Atrium Health’s Carolinas Medical Center (CMC) is seeking a part-time CT Technologist I to operate CT scanners and related equipment, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient safety. The role supports Radiology services, performs exams from start to finish, administers IV contrast, and collaborates with Radiologists in a fast-paced hospital environment.

The position requires ARRT certification (Radiology or NMTCB) within one year of hire and BLS.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB within one year of hire required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Verify orders with Radiologist and resolve discrepancies.
• Identify patients using two identifiers and explain procedures briefly.
• Interview patients for medical history and document pertinent data.
• Perform CT exams from start to finish and interpret post-exam steps.
• Administer IV contrast according to protocol and document type/amount.
• Maintain image quality and consult Radiologist as needed.
• Operate CT equipment safely and follow infection control policies.
• Rotate shifts including weekends and holidays as needed.
