UCF Lake Nona Hospital in Orlando is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT procedures with a strong emphasis on ALARA standards and patient care. This role blends Radiology and CT duties, requiring safe operation of CT equipment and collaboration with ER and department staff.

The position includes on-call responsibilities and protocol execution. Qualified candidates are ARRT registered radiographers with CT preferred, state licensure, and BCLS certification within 30 days of start.

Formación

• ARRT Registered Radiographer (R) is required; CT certification is preferred.
• State Registered Radiologic Technologist licensure required.
• Vocational School graduate credential required.
• BCLS certification or instructor status must be obtained within 30 days of start date.

Responsabilidades

• Perform CT procedures with emphasis on image quality and patient safety.
• Operate CT equipment safely and maintain ALARA standards.
• Perform radiographic X-ray positioning as needed in ER and department.
• Assist in establishment of scan protocols and contrast administration.
• Maintain professional relations with staff and departments; be available for on-call shifts.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Shift for position: Rotating Mon-Wed and Wed-Fri 7am-7:30pm / This position will be a combination position of Radiology and CT

Performs those duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures applying computerized ionizing radiation for the purpose of detecting pathology. Operates the CT equipment safely and maintains A.L.A.R.A. standards while performing all types of procedures. Is current in Radiologic (X-ray) positioning and can perform X-rays in ER and department when asked. Participates in the establishment of scan protocols and in execution of specific applications, and responsible for contrast administration. Establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments and medical staff. Position requires Call.

What qualifications you will need:

• Registered Radiographer (ARRT) (R) required; (CT) preferred
• State Registered Radiologic Technologist
• Vocational School Graduate
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
