Job summary

HCA Florida UCF Lake Nona Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to join a rotating shift schedule (Mon-Wed, Wed-Fri, 7am-7:30pm). The role combines radiology and CT responsibilities, including safe operation of CT equipment, contrast administration, and adherence to ALARA standards.

Call duties are required as part of the position. Qualified candidates will hold ARRT Radiographer credentials, state Radiologic Technologist registration, and a vocational school degree.

Qualifications

• ARRT Radiographer (R) required; CT certification preferred.
• State Registered Radiologic Technologist credential.
• BCLS certification required or instructor within 30 days of start date.
• Vocational school graduate in related field.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiology and CT procedures with ionizing radiation to detect pathology.
• Operates CT equipment safely and adheres to ALARA standards.
• Maintains radiologic positioning and can perform X-rays in ER/department as needed.
• Establishes scan protocols and administers contrast; participates in patient care coordination.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Shift for position:Rotating Mon-Wed and Wed-Fri 7am-7:30pm / This position will be a combination position of Radiology and CT

Performs those duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures applying computerized ionizing radiation for the purpose of detecting pathology. Operates the CT equipment safely and maintains A.L.A.R.A. standards while performing all types of procedures. Is current in Radiologic (X-ray) positioning and can perform X-rays in ER and department when asked. Participates in the establishment of scan protocols and in execution of specific applications, and responsible for contrast administration. Establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments and medical staff. Position requires Call.

What qualifications you will need:

• Registered Radiographer (ARRT) (R) required; (CT) preferred
• State Registered Radiologic Technologist
• Vocational School Graduate
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
