Job summary

Advocate Health is hiring a CT Technologist to operate CT equipment, perform diagnostic imaging, and assist the Radiologist in delivering quality patient care. Responsibilities include image processing, safety, and documentation.

Requires advanced radiologic training and ARRT CT registration with BLS certification. Two years of CT experience is typical; familiarity with RIS and strong patient communication are expected.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of cross sectional anatomy and radiation safety.
• Proficient in IV and venipuncture.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and patient service skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Intermediate computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT equipment to perform diagnostic procedures.
• Prepare and administer contrast media under Radiologist supervision.
• Post-process images and label studies with patient information.
• Maintain records and document billing codes for charges.
