Job summary

Ascension Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for St. Vincent Kokomo Hospital in Kokomo, IN. This PRN role requires timely licensure and credentialing, with responsibilities in patient positioning, contrast administration, and patient monitoring during procedures.

The position targets candidates with ARRT CT or NMTCB certification and ARRT Radiography credentials, plus the RTE/CNMT requirements, to support imaging services across shifts in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days of hire date.
• Radiologic Technologist credentialed within 6 months of hire date.
• NMTCB certification or ARRT CT credential required in addition to CNMT/CNMT.
• ARRT Radiologic Technologist (Radiography) credentialed within 6 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients and select imaging parameters accurately.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within scope and regulations.
• Observe patient during procedure and monitor protocols, updating as needed.

• Schedule: PRN | Rotating

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.

• Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.

• Observe patient during procedure and reports abnormal activity. Monitor protocols and recommends updates or refinements as warranted.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Indiana Medical Radiology Services Program obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

• One or more of the following required:

• Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. NMTCB(CT) Computed Tomography Specialty Certification or ARRT(CT) Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography required in addition to CNMT Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification.

• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy specialty also accepted.

• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
