Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a CT Technologist to perform a variety of CT scans for diagnosis, under general supervision. You will assist radiologists, ensure patient safety and adhere to radiation guidelines while delivering compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities include data gathering, record-keeping, precise imaging, and readiness to support other departments as needed. Exemption status is non-exempt; weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiological program.
• Registered by the ARRT or NMTCB certified in diagnostic CT.
• Licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Demonstrated ability to provide quality patient care with minimal supervision in a fast-paced setting.
• Verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Properly performs all CT scan examinations appropriate to the age of the patient in inpatient and/or outpatient settings, consistent with departmental and professional standards and protocols.
• Gathers pertinent clinical data and maintains accurate patient records.
• Accurately completes all records, paperwork and billings and submits promptly.
• Positions and transfers patients appropriately and assists physicians with interventional exams.
• Promptly and properly completes exams, performs QC on images and appropriately sends exams to PACS for the physicians to review.
