Job summary

MetroHealth CT Technologist position in the Radiology Department seeks a certified technologist to produce high-quality CT images and assist with CT-guided procedures. Involves cross-functional collaboration with nurses, physicians and therapists across the hospital.

Responsibilities include patient scheduling, education on procedures, and maintaining patient comfort. Cross-training opportunities and a sign-on bonus are available for external applicants.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
• Registered Radiology Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• ARRT CT credential or obtains within one year of employment.
• Valid Ohio Radiographer License (ODH).
• American Heart Association BLS Certification or obtains within the probationary period.
• One year related experience preferred; ARRT CT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produces quality CT images in a variety of settings.
• Assists with CT-guided procedures including biopsies, drain placements, and tumor ablations.
• Schedules and coordinates for inpatients and outpatients.
• Educates patients regarding procedures, equipment, and examination to ensure understanding and comfort.
• Demonstrates on-the-spot critical thinking and effective communication.
• Works well independently and as part of the CT team.
