Job summary

Atrium Health Stanly is seeking a CT Technologist I to operate CT scanners and related equipment in a hospital radiology department. You will follow departmental protocols, prepare patients, and assist radiologists during exams, ensuring safety and accuracy throughout the imaging process.

The role requires ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB, an ARRT-registry in CT within one year of hire, and BLS. Expect a fulltime on-site position with rotating shifts including weekends.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB required (within one year of hire).
• BLS certification required.
• Graduate of ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine program.

Responsibilities

• Verify orders and refer discrepancies to Radiologist before exams.
• Identify patients with two identifiers and explain procedures.
• Review patient history and EMRs to obtain pertinent clinical information.
• Manage exam from start to final dictated results.
• Prepare and administer IV contrast per protocols; record type and amount on request.
• Assess image quality and consult Radiologist as needed.
• Perform patient care, alert nursing to condition changes, and assist in emergencies.
• Conduct CT scanning and assist Radiologist/PA during invasive procedures; maintain sterile technique.
• Access radiology systems to enter orders and document contrast administration.
• Maintain clean, stocked work areas and assist other medical staff.
• Support anesthesia when needed during CT exams.
