UofL Health is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT scans, assist radiologists, and ensure patient safety. You will prepare and administer contrast media per policy and maintain high-quality diagnostic imaging.

This role requires ARRT registration and JRC-approved radiologic education, with CT certification to be obtained within a year of employment. The CT Technologist will work in a fast-paced Diagnostic Imaging Department, supporting education and safety, while complying with state

Qualifications

• Graduate of a JRC approved program in Radiologic Technology.
• Registered with ARRT.
• KY Radiation Operators certification.
• BLS certification.
• CT Certification preferred at time of hire but required within 1 year of employment.
• At least 1 year of CT Technologist experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Uses consistent and appropriate techniques to gather information pertinent to the examination.
• Assesses patient to determine and develop an action plan for completing the procedure.
• Performs pre- and post-exam patient education pertinent to the exam.
• Produces CT scans according to established protocols with high diagnostic quality.
• Evaluates finished images/series for technical accuracy and diagnostic quality.
• Maintains radiation safety practices during radiographic examinations.
• Performs venipuncture and contrast injections per department/hospital guidelines.
• Assists in training Radiologic Technology students in CT Scan positioning and technique.
• Attends and participates in department staff meetings and in-services.

Formation

Graduate of a JRC approved program in Radiologic Technology

Registered with ARRT

KY Radiation Operators certification

BLS

CT Certification - required within 1 year of employment
