Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a CT Technologist to perform computerized axial tomography procedures and contrast administration in a fast-paced clinical setting in Richmond, VA. The role requires ARRT CT and Radiography registrations, BLS certification, and the ability to coordinate patient flow with imaging staff.

The candidate will review cases with radiologists, manage contrast administration, and ensure patient safety.

Qualifications

Must maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Licensed Radiologic Technologist – Radiography (ARRT) per state requirements.
Registered in Radiography (R) with ARRT.
Registered in Computed Tomography (CT) with ARRT.
CNMT certification with NMTCB is acceptable alternative.

Responsibilities

Performs CT procedures and related invasive procedures per department protocols.
Reviews cases with radiologist and patient history to ensure correct exam.
Administers IV and oral/rectal contrast as appropriate and monitors for adverse reactions.
Screens patients for pregnancy and performs pregnancy testing when applicable.
Maintains safety for patients and staff and reports safety events promptly.
May lead CT team in absence of CT Lead or Imaging Coordinator.
Adheres to cross-trained modality responsibilities as required.
