Job summary

Atrium Health Specialty Network is seeking an experienced full-time Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to cover weekend shifts in the Cardiothoracic Surgery Intensive Care Unit at CMC Main. Board-certified ACNP or PA with CT-ICU/post-op cardiac surgery experience preferred.

Responsibilities include admission from the operating room, post-op management of complex cardiac patients, and hemodynamic oversight with devices like ECMO/VAD/IABP. Weekend coverage and teaching opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Board-certified ACNP or PA with CT-ICU/post-op cardiac surgery experience.
• Requires ACNP or PA credentialing and CPR/BLS/ACLS.
• Experience with post-op management and hemodynamic support.

Responsibilities

• Admission notes and daily progress notes for post-op cardiac surgery patients.
• Manage hemodynamics and chest tubes; collaborate on ECMO/VAD/IABP care.
• Weekend rounding, teaching opportunities, and advocacy for patient care.
