Job summary

UAB Medicine seeks an Advanced Practice Provider for the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. The role supports Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants in a high-acuity environment with 12-hour shifts and rotating weekends/holidays.

Full-time, benefited position with differential pay and CME allowance described in the posting. Collaboration with physicians and a multidisciplinary team drives high-quality patient care and ongoing clinical improvement.

Qualifications

• Licensed APP eligible to practice in Alabama.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care within established scope to surgical patients as assigned by the collaborating physician.
• Coordinate plan of care, discharge and specialty referrals as appropriate.
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations and assessments.
• Interpret, analyze and evaluate patient’s medical records and social data.
• Maintain records and participate in performance improvement activities.
