Job summary

Atrium Health Union in Monroe, NC is seeking a CT Technologist I to perform CT procedures with consistent adherence to departmental protocols. You will operate CT scanners and related equipment, ensuring patient safety and preparing patients for imaging studies.

You will verify orders with Radiologists, obtain complete medical histories, and document findings as required. The role requires ARRT/NMTCB readiness and BLS, with rotating shifts including weekends.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic/Nuclear Medicine program.
• ARRT Radiology or NMTCB Nuclear Medicine certification with ARRT CT registry within 1 year.
• BLs certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT scanners and related equipment per protocol and standards.
• Verify orders with Radiologist and address discrepancies.
• Identify patients, explain procedures, and prepare for imaging.
• Interview patients for medical history and document properly.
• Administer IV contrast as directed and record usage.
• Evaluate image quality and consult Radiologist as needed.
• Maintain safety protocols and assist in emergencies.
• Rotate shifts, including call back, holidays, and weekends.
• Document contrast administration in MAR and entry systems.
