Job summary

BoxHouse, INC. is seeking a motivated CAD Designer to join our R&D team in Utah. The role focuses on hands-on design work and close collaboration with assembly and production teams to refine parts and improve manufacturability.

The ideal candidate has CSWA credentials and SolidWorks experience in real-world settings, with a mindset for rapid iteration and problem solving alongside manufacturing staff.

Qualifications

• CSWA certification required.
• SolidWorks experience in professional/academic settings.
• Understanding of mechanical assemblies and basic manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop 3D CAD models, assemblies, and drawings using SolidWorks.
• Collaborate closely with R&D engineers and assembly teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and efficient.
• Rapidly iterate designs based on prototype testing, assembly feedback, and performance requirements.
• Support the full product lifecycle from concept through prototype and into production.
• Create and maintain accurate drawings, BOMs, and revision documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve product quality, durability, and ease of assembly.
• Apply design-for-manufacturing (DFM) and design-for-assembly (DFA) principles.
