Job summary

Rocky Mountain ATV/MC is seeking an R&D Drafter to join our product development team in Utah. The role focuses on turning concepts into detailed 3D models and drawings for powersports products, collaborating with R&D engineers and designers.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of SolidWorks experience, strong modeling skills, and the ability to create accurate 2D drawings, tolerances, and design transfer documentation for prototyping and manufacturing.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years hands-on SolidWorks experience.
• Ability to model complex shapes and curved surfaces.
• Create accurate 2D engineering drawings with tolerances and notes.
• Ability to translate sketches and measurements into editable CAD models.

Responsibilities

• Create and modify SolidWorks parts, assemblies, and drawings for new and existing products.
• Develop geometry using parametric solid modeling, surface modeling, sweeps, lofts, and boundary surfaces.
• Create patterns and features on curved surfaces with accurate dimensions.
• Translate sketches and measurements into CAD models for prototyping and manufacturing.
• Prepare dimensioned drawings and CAD files for prototyping and supplier review.
