Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a CSU ECS Lead for the Combined Cycle Gas Turbine project in Cheyenne, Wyoming. You will oversee commissioning activities, coordinate ECS startup engineers, and ensure testing from component level to integrated operation.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience.
• Relevant experience in delivering large-scale combined cycle power projects.
• Broad knowledge of industry standards and regulations for facility operations.
• Commissioning experience for power generation; data centre integration preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of cost and scheduling administration.
• Ability to lead in a team environment and mentor others.
• Expert understanding of CSU core processes and procedures.
• Technical comprehension of engineering, procurement, and construction functions.
• Excellent oral and written communication with management and client.
• Familiar with turbine controls, vibration monitoring, safety systems, and DCS.
• Proficient in valve calibration and communication protocols.
• Proficient in loop checking and validation.

Responsibilities

• Assists in preparation of project estimates.
• Coordinates with project management and startup activities at the jobsite.
• Directs preparation of operations manuals.
• Conducts execution planning for scope, schedules and budgets.
• Sets up progress reporting and reviews with the team.
• Develops plans and criteria for project activities.
• Interprets regulations, codes, and performance data.
• Supervises engineers and allocates staffing to meet deadlines.
• Provides technical counsel and resolves issues within the specialty.
• Prepares system testing and turnover documentation.
• Supports training material development for client personnel.
• Prepares preoperational test procedures and testing to Bechtel STCP/SWPP.
• Prepares maintenance procedures for commissioned equipment.
• Applies knowledge of industry standards and design criteria.
• Performs live ECS work per corporate procedures.
• Interacts with client management and operations personnel.
