Job summary

BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. is seeking a highly capable Sr Executive Coordinator / Project Coordinator to support the Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) at our San Rafael, CA headquarters.

This role combines executive support with strategic project coordination across scientific and operational initiatives. The ideal candidate will manage complex calendars, coordinate travel, prepare materials for RED LT and other reviews, and act as a trusted liaison across senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years supporting senior executives.
• Strong project coordination experience.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• High discretion and professionalism.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage a complex calendar and prioritize strategic priorities.
• Coordinate domestic and international travel.
• Prepare agendas and materials for key meetings and reviews.
• Serve as primary point of contact for stakeholders.
• Draft communications and presentations with approvals.
• Coordinate and track activities across leadership teams.
• Maintain trackers for deliverables and milestones.
• Support executive reporting and governance processes.
• Maintain Teams/SharePoint workspaces and streamline workflows.
• Act as cross-functional liaison and represent CSO office professionally.
