Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Crypto Senior Associate to work with clients across the digital asset ecosystem, driving due diligence, underwriting, and strategic advisory engagements. You will model financials, perform market analyses, and help structure revenue and performance improvements while collaborating with senior practitioners and multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years work experience in investment banking, consulting, or related analytical roles.
• BA/BS or MBA/MS in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills required.
• CPA/CFA or progress toward such certifications preferred.
• Interest in digital assets and crypto ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational and financial due diligence on digital asset businesses and counterparties.
• Build and review financial models to support underwriting, risk assessment, and decisions.
• Develop market analysis across protocols, tokens, exchanges, and ecosystem participants.
• Identify revenue enhancement and performance improvement opportunities for clients.
• Support strategy engagements from market entry to operating model design.
• Contribute to restructuring and turnaround work for distressed crypto-native businesses.
• Assist business development with pitches and proposals.
• Own workstreams and mentor junior resources.
